Confetti Cannon

All PVC is Schedule 40 Pressure rated pipe, not foam core.

Use Purple Primer and Strong PVC cement for all glued connections.

The confetti tubes are 1 inch PVC 24 inches long, I needed multiple barrels so I used 3 Tee fittings and 2 elbows with a 1 inch male threaded adapter to make each barrel assembly.  Two with 90 degree elbows and 2 with 45 degree elbows for wider dispersal, barrels are interchangeable.  Even with a 2 1/2 or 3 inch barrel for launching larger items like T-shirts

The air chamber is made from 3 inch PVC 8 inches long with 2 caps and 1 Tee fitting that is 3 x 3 inch x 2 inch.  Glue in a 2 inch to 1 inch reducing bushing in the 2 inch side of the Tee.

The next piece is a Tee that is 1 inch x 1 inch x 1/2 inch threaded on the tee, with a brass fitting to reduce 1/2 inch to either 1/4 inch or 3/8th inch depending on what sifter valve you can find in the well pump section of your DIY center.

Use pipe thread tape on all threaded fittings below the valve to minimize air leaks.

You can choose to use a manual valve if you like but I used 1 inch sprinkler valves so I could remote fire them.

The air chamber should be safe for up to 200 PSI but I don’t recommend that high, I used 80-100 PSI and it launched all four barrels over 20 feet high and 60 far when leaning at about 45 degrees on a chair
